Obituary for David Allen Krich

David Allen Krich, age 70 of Hartwell, passed away peacefully at his residence on March 19 th , 2021
after a valiant and courageous battle with Acute Myleoid Leukemia. He was surrounded by loved
ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their life to the fullest.

David was born on September 30 th , 1950 in Elgin, Illinois to the late Marvin “Sonny” Krich and the late
Eleanor Soberg Krich. Dave retired from Fieldale Farms where he served as a truck driver for over
25 years. He was a dedicated and hard-working man and a provider for his family. He had a knack
for remaining calm and resilient in any situation in life, and he was undoubtedly a patient man with a
kind soul. Some of Dave’s passions included working on cars, traveling with his wife, remodeling his
home, working in the yard, and instilling old-fashioned values in his children. He also loved Sunday
car rides, horses, enjoying a cup of coffee while relaxing in his favorite recliner, and spending quality
time with his family. Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Dave managed his illness with
strength and grace. While spending precious moments with his family near the end of his illness,
Dave said, “Well, I guess I have had a pretty good run”. He remained a fighter until the very end.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Wells Krich of Hartwell; daughter, Sarah Krich of Gainesville; son,
Kyle Krich of Gainesville; step-daughter, Kelly Smith of Gainesville; step-son, Howard Skirvin II of
Bristol, CT; granddaughter, Kaylee Moore of Gainesville; grandchildren, David Ortiz, Alexis, Tristen,
Mercedez, Jayley, and Quentin Smith of Gainesville; Jayden and Allison Skirvin, and Courtney Haire
of Bristol, CT; great grandchildren, Sa’riyah and Zayden of Gainesville; brothers and sisters-in-law,
Larry and Kathy Krich of Illinois, Randy and Brenda Krich of Tennessee, Jimmy Krich of Illinois; sister
and brother-in-law, Karen and Carl Bell of Georgia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is
preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother, Rick Krich.

Dave’s kindness touched the lives of more people than he ever realized. He was a wonderful
husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and dear friend to all. He will be greatly missed, but he will always
be in our hearts.

No formal services are planned at this time.

The family requests that any condolences be mailed to: PO Box 208, Hartwell, Ga 30643
