Hoyt Ray Bowen, age 70 of Toccoa passed away peacefully at his home, Wednesday April 14, ,2021 surrounded by his family.
He was born in Stephens County and a 1969 graduate of Stephens County High School. He was a retired truck driver with over 5 million accident free miles. He was preceded in death by his father C. H. Bowen, mother Ruth Bowen, brothers Larry and William (Bud) Bowen.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years Betty Shirley Bowen, daughter and son in law Tammy and Jacob Smith, granddaughter and spouse Elizabeth and Jacob Skelton, Grandson Dustin Grafton, grandson and spouse Colt and Lindsey Vaughn, great granddaughter Chastlynn Marie Skelton, brother and spouse John and Regina Bowen and Marvin Bowen. Special friends Larry Vinson, Richard and Jimmy Roberts of Schuyler,Va
A memorial service will be held on Sunday April 25, 2021 at 4 PM at the Pointe Church. 111 Fieldcrest Dr, Eastanollee Ga, 30538. All is invited to attend.
