Obituary for Regina Mallonee
Regina (Turpin) Mallonee, age 63, passed away on March 28, 2021 surrounded by her family.
She was born on June 3, 1957 to Joel & Lorene (Jones) Turpin of Hiawassee, GA.
Regina is survived by her parents; children, Justin Mallonee and Joe & Atlanta (Mallonee) Powell; grandsons, Brooks and Barrett Powell; siblings, Anthony & Nadine Turpin, Timothy Turpin, and Michelle (Turpin) Hicks; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her partner of over 17 years, Pete Frys, of Hayesville NC.
Regina worked as a CNA at Union County Nursing Home for over 20 years, where she was an exceptional care giver to many. She was well known and loved for her positive attitude, her warm carefree spirit, and her ability to see the beauty in everyday life. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held in the coming months.
