Obituary for Russell Bukowski
Russell E Bukowski, 57, passed away in his home on March 9th, 2021, in Toccoa, Georgia. He cared for and served others throughout his lifetime and was a man who would do anything to help others. Russell was a Registered Nurse for 29 years, working in various parts of the country while travel nursing, working the last 5 years at St. Mary's in Athens, Georgia, and Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa, Georgia. He was also a 22 year veteran of the Georgia Army National Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lori Bukowski and children, Donovan, Aidan, Liam, Rachel and Rebekah; and grandchildren, Addison and Easton; and his parents Bob and Ann Bukowski of Pooler, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his sister, Connie and his brother, Bobby.
His children, Donovan and Aidan, reflected on their father as being, "the strongest man we know." He will be greatly missed by many and be in our hearts forever. His in-laws, Peggy and Rick Herrmann, said they were blessed with the greatest, loving son-in-law anyone could ever wish for.
Russell’s wishes were to be cremated and a private service will be held for his family.
