Jack Raymond  Kirves
Jack Raymond Kirves, age 84 of Gainesville, Georgia and formerly of Gwinnett County, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Evansville, Indiana on February 06, 1933, Jack was a son of the late Rev. Floyd W. Kirves & Leona Nation Kirves. He was a graduate of the University of Evansville and proudly served his country in the United States Navy as well as the United States Air Force. Jack was a loving, supportive, and encouraging husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. He loved his family, aviation, and boating. Jack was also an accomplished photographer of wildlife, nature, and sunsets. Words cannot express how much he will be missed by his family and friends. He was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church of Gainesville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Kirves Reynolds.

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Patricia “Pat” Epple Kirves of Gainesville, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff & Sandra Kirves of Jasper, GA; Mark & Valerie Kirves of Gainesville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Jill & Donnie Balenger of Cornelia, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Junior & Shirley Kirves of Evansville, Indiana; Ronald & Beverly Kirves of Bayonet, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce & Bob Bollinger of Newburgh, Indiana; grandchildren, Autumn Balenger Poole & Matt Poole of Baldwin, GA; Dusty & Emily Balenger of Buford, GA; Shanta & Dan Caserto of Flowery Branch, GA; Larissa & Drew Benson of Jefferson, GA; Lindsay & Josh Byers of Fort Campbell, KY; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Grace Episcopal Church, Gainesville with the Rev. Stuart Higginbotham, Rector officiating.

A reception will be held immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests all memorial donations be made to Independent Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1384, Demorest, GA. 30535, Grace Episcopal Church, 422 Brenau Avenue, Gainesville, GA. 30501, Alzheimer’s Association, American Stroke Association, or to the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia.
