Obituary for Julia Maria Ida Ternak
JULIA MARIA IDA TERNAK, age 85 of Toccoa, peacefully passed away in her sleep of natural causes on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Pruitt Health of Toccoa.
Born in Pecs, Hungary on June 2, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Julia Farkas and Vilmos Erno Kutasi. Mrs. Ternak had an accounting degree from Hungary but fled to the USA during the Hungarian Revolution in 1956. She was a naturalized American Citizen living in Michigan and Florida. She worked for the University of Michigan for many years then owned the Italian Village Restaurant in Michigan. She was a strong, brave, and good mother who will be greatly missed. She had bright blue eyes, and engaging smile, and ready wit and lived a full and vibrant life, outliving three husbands.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Peter Paul Ternak, Bruno Gilbert, and Mitchell Mitcheluk.
Survivors include son, Armand Tibor Ternak; daughter, Melinda Ternak Saneda; sisters, Ilona Matild Adel Lippoczy & Gyorgyi Elizabeth Dioslaki; brother, Karoly Paul Kutasi, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brooksville Wesleyan Church, 22398 Pasture Lane, Brooksville, Florida 34601.
