Nanette Kathleen Thompson Farmer, age 59 of Toccoa, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020, in the care of hospice at PruittHealth.

She was born June 22, 1960, and lived the majority of her life in Toccoa. Nan loved pig novelties of any kind and gathered quite a collection of them throughout her life. She was a wonderful singer and enjoyed musical theater over the years and performed in many local community theater shows. Nan worked at various local jobs and made many friends in this way. She loved fishing, cats, her children, and her family.

Nan is survived by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Robert E. Thompson of Toccoa, daughter Marjan Griggs of Hartwell, son Eric Farmer and wife of Cleveland, son Jason Farmer and wife of Parachute, Colorado, brother Jeff Thompson and wife of Lavonia, and sister Ginger Jablonski and husband of Wilson, North Carolina, as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Due to the current global conditions, Nan’s life will be celebrated at a future time.

I am so sorry to hear of Nan's passing. Nan & I were in band together. She was a year ahead of me, in school. I remember when Nan was the student conductor at Stephens County Middle School. She was such a sweet, loving, & carefree person. She was a good friend who I thought a lot of, even though we lost touch, over the years. Our thoughts & prayers are with each one of you. May God give each one of you the strength, the comfort, & the peace you will need during this difficult time & the time to follow. God bless.... Shuwan Addison Rogers
